Julie Westendorff

Julie Holligan Westendorff joined the firm in March of 2021. She assists in the firm’s representation of the Southern Ute Indian Tribe in the areas of gaming and ethics.

Prior to joining the firm, Julie served as La Plata County Commissioner from January 2013 to January 2021, representing the county on various state boards in addition to her regular duties as a commissioner. Before serving as a County Commissioner, she was the Prosecutor for the Southern Ute Indian Tribe. In that capacity, Julie represented the Division of Gaming before the Gaming Commission, as well as handling criminal prosecutions and social services cases in tribal court. She began her practice as a private attorney, practicing in the areas of domestic relations, criminal defense and real estate transactions. She has also served as the Bayfield Town Magistrate. Before attending law school, Ms. Westendorff worked for Congressman Dan Rostenkowski in Washington, D.C.
