Daniel F. McCarl

Dan practices in the areas of water, property, energy and federal Indian law. He brings more than a decade of experience, including with several leading private, non-profit and governmental organizations in his field. Previously, Dan was a Trial Attorney in the Environment & Natural Resources Division of the U.S. Department of Justice where he adjudicated federal reserved water rights claims for the benefit of Indian tribes.

Dan also brings unique technical skills to his natural resources practice. He holds both a BA and MA in Mathematics from the University of Colorado and has completed graduate coursework and research in the areas of groundwater modeling and hydrology. Dan’s background in mathematics and engineering makes him uniquely skilled in addressing the complex technical and quantitative issues that frequently arise in his areas of practice.
